Found a great deal on The COV 'Mini Volt Kit' and knew I had to grab it. The kit includes the Mini Volt 40w box mod, as well as the Mini Vengeance sub ohm tank.
Right off the bat, you can see the packaging is pretty fucking cool. The 'official seal' on the plastic case is nice.
I knew this kit was going to be small, that's why I wanted it; but this thing is almost comically small. The box mod on it's own is about the same height as a mini Bic lighter, tank is about the same. Even when the tank is attached it fits snug inside my palm. This really is the epitome of an 'on the go' kit. Even a girl with a small little hand purse would be able to bring this along without taking up too much space. Seriously, this thing is worth owning just because anyone who hasn't seem them before will want to check it out.
Now, on to the tank, which is visually appealing, but it's really the stuff you 'can't see' that makes this tank brilliant.
It's only a 2mL tank, so that might bother some, but again, this is really for 'on the go' use. The black tip that matches the black on the box mod, the red o-rings with the white base, stainless interior.... this things really beautiful to look at.
But like I said, it's the stuff you really 'cant see' that makes this tank amazing. Like most tanks, it's got an adjustable air-flow at the base of the tank, and it does it's job. However, as you'll see in the picture below on the left, the drip tip also has air-flow holes drilled in... but as you can also see there is a little rubber insert that you can remove to utilize the extra air-flow if you please.
The picture above and to the right is really what makes this tank amazing. The drip tip has a built in honeycomb 'screen' to prevent spit back. It does that as advertised, and it's hard to see from the picture, but the holes are actually drilled on a slight angle which give it almost a 'vortex' effect like you'll find in some water pipes.
Another little thing that I like - the holes in the coil for juice to get to the cotton are pretty decent sized, especially for the size of the tank. Be hard for this thing to give you a dry hit unless the tank is pretty much empty. It's also easy to visually see if the cotton is 'wet' with juice because of the size of the holes.
I'll update this in a few days to see how the battery life is after some use. So far after a few hours of playing with it, for $45 I'm glad I made this purchase.
After using this for a few months now, I gotta say I'm glad I bought it. The only 'con' I can really mention is the auto-shutoff feature on this box. Can be a pain in the ass to set it down for a few minutes and have to do the 5 clicks to turn it back on... but that's not really a huge deal.
Also worth pointing out how awesome this tank is after a few months of us. Chucks clouds, flavors great, and I'm getting a fairly decent life out of these coils.
